IRA CHARITABLE ROLLOVER

Taxpayers who are at least 70.5 years old are required to make annual distributions from their IRAs, which are included in the taxpayer’s adjusted gross income (AGI) and subject to taxes.

The IRA Charitable Rollover permits those taxpayers to make donations directly from their IRAs to to charitable organizations like Breckenridge Backstage Theatre. By doing this, the donations do not count as part of their AGI and they do not pay taxes on them.
