MARY POPPINS JR. AUDITION INFORMATION

Everyone who is auditioning is encouraged to familiarize themselves with the script, score and resources available here. 

Those who are auditioning will prepare one of several pre-selected songs for the December 2 auditions (more information below). They will not be asked to perform a monologue. 

If invited, students will attend a callback from 12:30 to 4 PM on Sunday, December 3.  

GIRLS

Girls should choose one of the following three songs to prepare:

• Castle on a Cloud (from Les Miserables)
• Getting to Know You (from The King & I)
• The Hills are Alive (from The Sound of Music) - girls wanting to audition for Mary must select this song

In addition to listening for vocal quality, the creative team will be looking for stage presence and plenty of character in the song interpretation.  

Lyrics for these three songs are available here. Various recordings of these songs can be found on YouTube for purposes of learning the melodies.  Sheet music will not be provided.

BOYS

• The Rainbow Connection (from The Muppet Movie)
• A Whole New World (from Aladdin)
• Put on a Happy Face (from Bye Bye Birdie) - boys wanting to audition for Bert must select this song
